What a great experience! After getting the run around from 5 other companies over a two day period (seriously) and about 20 emails from other transport companies throughout the U.S. that couldn't deliver or give me a realistic time frame, Aaron put my worries and frustration to rest. And only after one phone call. Can't thank you enough for the professionalism! The trucking company he used called me, told me the day and roughly the time he'd be there and delivered it on time. The drive was super careful with my vehicle and went the extra mile to make sure it was in perfect condition when I got it. Aaron did a follow up to make sure everything was all good and off I drive! This month we relocated from Colorado to Maryland. I found Summit Auto Transport through a Goggle search and gave them a try because of their positive customer reviews.

I emailed Aaron and he promptly replied within minutes. He sent over the documents to electronically sign, and a week later scheduled my car for pick up. He was always available to answer my many questions and I really appreciated that.

The driver arrived within the time scheduled and picked up my car, delivered as promised, and the car was in the same state it was initially shipped.

I highly recommend Summit Auto Transport because they deliver as promised and Aaron provides excellent customer service!

I needed to transport my restored Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 from Minnesota to Virginia. After some initial research, I noticed that the I8MUD community holds Aaron and his company, Summit Auto Transport, in high regard. For very good reason. I had an issue with a driver that Arron dealt with in a definitive and professional manner. He took ownership of the problem and practiced true customer service. I will use his services again and I highly recommend Summit Auto Transport to anyone wishing to transport a vehicle.

So far with Summit I’ve had a last-minute price hike, a wrong pickup date, and poor invoicing. Overall it’s been a really negative experience. I’ve brought this to the FMCSA’s attention as well.

So here’s what happened: I had to ship an oversized vehicle and was very clear from the beginning about my needs. Sent them dimensions, photos, the works. Summit assured me they could accommodate but:

1. Three days before the pickup, they suddenly hiked the price. I didn’t have time to find another provider so late in the game, so I asked them to honor the original price. They refused. Had to escalate to the owner and he finally offered me a discount...but still would not honor the original price.

I get that estimates change, but to increase it at the last minute seems like shady business.

2. They gave me and the truck driver different pickup dates. The owner then tried to imply that I was the one who didn’t have the cars ready on the pickup date. (What). I had to work directly w/ the actual transport company to manage the situation.

3. After offering the price discount, the owner failed to send me the discounted invoice. Instead, he sent me an “overdue notice”.

Overall, this was a total mess. Car shipping is stressful enough, without dealing with nonsense like this. I would definitely not recommend.

Do yourself a favor and save yourself a lot of annoyance by using this company. Don't request quotes from online places that MAKE you put a phone number, it will only result in days (and I do mean DAYS) of calls and voicemails from random car transporters (trust me). Total time from calling Aaron to getting my car on a truck with Summit was about four hours. Don't make my mistakes, learn from them and just call Summit if you need a car transported!
